Why are you passionate about women's health?
Because women’s health is often overlooked or misunderstood, yet it has a profound impact on quality of life. I’m passionate about supporting women with accurate, practical information and personalised care so they can feel informed, confident and empowered in making decisions about their health at every stage of life.
What one piece of advice would you give to our audience?
Prioritise your health and don’t wait until things become unmanageable to seek support. Your symptoms are valid and you deserve care that listens, respects and responds to your needs. Be your own advocate, and remember, the right information and the right healthcare professional can make all the difference.
What is missing from the current conversation around women's health?
There’s still a lack of representation and culturally sensitive care in women’s health, particularly for South Asian women. Too often, issues like menstrual health, mental wellbeing, and menopause are considered taboo or are not discussed openly in our communities. I’m passionate about breaking that silence, creating space for South Asian women to be heard, understood and supported with healthcare that reflects their lived experiences.
