Oxford Menopause

Private menopause and women’s health services across the South of England

Oxford Menopause is a specialist women’s health and menopause clinic. We offer women individualised, holistic care, advice and treatment during the transition through perimenopause and menopause. We also offer advice and guidance for pre-menopausal women who wish to discuss hormonal issues, contraception and other aspects of women’s health. The service was launched by Dr Katie Barber in October 2020 and offers women access to evidence-based options with open, friendly staff and a focus on personalised care.

All our specialists have attained the Advanced Certificate in Menopause Care from the British Menopause Society (BMS) and are registered BMS Specialists. Our appointments are tailored around you and your medical history, to provide you with regulated treatments and advice that is evidence based.

We believe all women should have access to individualised specialist care, in an environment where they feel safe and supported.

Why are you passionate about supporting Rockmy’s mission to improve women’s health?

Women’s Health has been a neglected area of medicine for so long and seeing organisations improving awareness and knowledge and empowering women to seek support about any issues they may be facing is vital. Optimising women’s health at all ages has a huge impact, not only on quality of life/symptom management but personal, professional and social lives and long term health.

What change would you like to see in women’s health?

It would be great to see prompt access to women’s health specialist clinicians, whether that’s a nurse, pharmacist, GP specialist of gynaecologist. In addition a unified HRT formulary across the UK is much needed to ensure all women have access to every available treatment option to support their menopause journey.

What do you believe women deserve more of when it comes to their health journeys?

We believe all women should have access to individualised specialist care, in an environment where they feel safe and supported. It is important women feel listened to and understood. We strive for this is in every aspect of our clinic.
